Hallo.... Sorry for this late entry... (actually, my blog has been late for two weeks... huhuhu... too many works need to be done this few weeks....)
e-Book is our next task for this particular week... it was quite interesting because we were going to do an "electronic-Book"... It is like a children story book where it is suppossed to be simple, short, interesting, educating and enjoyable for the children in the primary school...
Pn Foziah had given quite a detailed lecture on the task where she had lined out all the criteria that should be taken into consideration by us in developing our e-Book. A few of the criteria includes the characters, the setting, the choice of font we use, colours, pictures and so on... It is true that we have to really pay attention to the criteria for the e-Book because it will ensure that our final products can fulfil all the criteria and hence educating and interesting.....
For this task, I had created my own story entitled "Cumi, My Cat"... Well, it is a simple story for children (targeted for Year 3 pupils). First of all before i could come out with the story, i had to refer to the primary school syllabus for primary school where i had to make sure that my story would be based on one of the units listed. My story is under the Unit 4 (Chapter: Animal and Pet).
Briefly, my e-Book is about a story of a 9 years old girl, Sarah who has a pet cat named Cumi. She really loves her cat and likes to play with it. But, suddenly Cumi falls sick and this has make Sarah sad and worried. After her father takes Cumi to the veterinary clinic, Cumi is not sick anymore and Sarah is not sad anymore. She finally realizes that she really loves Cumi and does not want anything to happen to it.
There are many steps had to be carried out in developing this e-Book such as selecting the characters, editing the pictures, selecting the suitable sound effects and musics and so on. But, fnally, i managed to finished my e-Book. Thanks to Pn Foziah who actually had postponed the due date for submitting the e-Book. It was a relief because it was holiday week where we had to develop the e-Book and most of us went back to our hometown. There was no internet connection here in my hometown and i had to go the the cc every day to surf the net. it was tiring and complicated.
